The latest installment of the Karate Kid Cobra Kai spin-off has arrived and many fans have already made their way, leaving them wondering about the future of the hit. Netflix series.

The writers seem to have set an obvious sixth season, but as we know all too well, a tantalizing cliffhanger is sometimes not enough to warrant a renewal of the series, particularly from the cancellation-prone streamer.

However, it looks promising that Cobra Kai will avoid such a fate given the show’s enormous popularity, which has propelled it to number one in Netflix UK’s top ten (not to mention many other regions of the world).

Will there be a Cobra Kai season 6?

It is not yet known if Cobra Kai season six will arrive on Netflix, but the latest batch of episodes of the show enjoyed strong audiences and good reviews on their debut, both positive signs of renewal.

In an interview with Collider

co-showrunner Josh Heald hinted that he and his co-workers are eager to see the show continue and have some ideas of what might happen next.

“We still have a few tricks up our sleeve for where we go from here, but every year it gets bigger,” he explained. “And we’re trying at all times to make sure we don’t plagiarize ourselves at this point.

“You know, we’ve had tournament fights, we’ve had all-out riots. We’ve had fights across multiple platforms and locations … [Season 5] it’s probably the most wall-to-wall fight we’ve had in a finale. “

When could a potential Cobra Kai season 6 be released?

Should Cobra Kai be renewed for a sixth season, fans may not have to wait long before the martial arts drama returns to our screens.

There has been a brief nine-month wait for Cobra Kai season 5, although that was only possible thanks to Netflix’s early renewal of the show months before the fourth release premiered.

The streamer has decided not to do this this time around, which means we could see a return to the annual production cycle common to many shows in the streaming era.

With that in mind, it looks like Cobra Kai’s sixth season debut is as soon as possible autumn 2023.

Who could be in the cast of the sixth season of Cobra Kai?

If Cobra Kai were to be renewed for another season, the show’s main cast led by Ralph Macchio (Daniel LaRusso), William Zabka (Johnny Lawrence) and Courtney Henggeler (Amanda LaRusso) would most likely return.

Fans have also gravitated towards new additions to the Karate Kid franchise in Xolo Maridueña (Miguel Diaz), Tanner Buchanan (Robby Keene) and Mary Mouser (Samantha LaRusso).

Meanwhile, Cobra Kai’s fifth season finale arranged the return of the once defeated villain John Kreese, played by Martin Kove, who is vying for revenge after spending time behind bars.

If the story continues, it brings trouble (and no doubt many more fights).

Is there a trailer for the sixth season of Cobra Kai?

Not yet! The show hasn’t even been renewed for a sixth season at the time of writing, so don’t expect a trailer for a while.
